In August of 2021, the Dewey Beach Town Council voted to approve a resolution requesting that the Delaware Department of Transportation reduce the speed limit in town from 30 mph to 25 mph. DelDOT has since approved the request, and on Wednesday, October 20th, the signs for the 25 mph speed limit will be installed.
