Pedestrian Safety Project Update

The town of Dewey Beach continues to make pedestrian safety a priority. The median project instituted by DelDOT, including the installation of pedestrian barriers and low-level landscaping, will be continuing throughout the fall and winter months.

In addition, starting Monday, November 8th, the addition of pedestrian crossing symbols and 10 foot traffic striping markings will begin on Route 1. Stop bar and legend painting will begin on Bayard Avenue and Cullen Street at the 4-way stop behind Fifer's Market.
