FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Town of Dewey Beach has cancelled all Commissioner and Committee meetings until further notice as a precautionary measure due to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Governor’s State of Emergency Declaration.
The scheduled March 14, 2020 Public Hearing and Regular Town Commissioner’s Meeting will be tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Every effort will be made to have this and all meetings open to the public and available for public comment, but we reserve the right under the Governors order to use live stream or other teleconference technology tools allowable under Delaware FOIA to hold the meeting without the public in attendance, if necessary.
All Town permitted special events are hereby cancelled through March 31, 2020. The decision to suspend public meetings and events was based on the Governor’s State of Emergency to Prepare for the Spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and recommendations to practice social distancing and reduce the number of large gatherings. Anyone needing to conduct business with the Town of Dewey Beach is requested to call Town Hall at 302-227-6363 before coming to Town Hall.
