Notice from Town Manager re: Special Meeting Friday, March 27th

The Commissioners of the Town of Dewey Beach will hold a Special Town Commissioners Meeting at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2020. Due to concerns regarding COVID-19 and the Governors Declaration of a Public Health Emergency, we will be modifying our meeting format. The meeting will be livestreamed beginning at 3:00 PM; however, the Lifesaving Station will be closed to the public. Members of staff will be at the Lifesaving Station to coordinate the livestream feed. In addition, the Commissioners, staff and the Town Solicitor will be included in an audio teleconference. The microphone system at the Lifesaving Station will be picking up the audio conference feed and transmitting the audio conference through the livestream feed.

The meeting materials and support documents have been posted to the Town’s website. Any updated material will also be posted to the website. Any questions or comments regarding the meeting material should be sent to the following email address: kate@townofdeweybeach.com. Please submit any questions or concerns via email by 2:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2020.

Once the meeting begins, staff will introduce each of the Action/Discussion Items and then turn to the Mayor for role call comments and the potential formulation of motions to address the items listed on the agenda. Prior to each roll call vote, we will take a 2 minute recess to allow the public to email any additional questions or comments to kate@townofdeweybeach.com. The questions and/or comments received in this recess period will be read into the record prior to the vote. All votes will be roll call votes.

Please also understand there is a 5-10 second delay in the livestream feed. We appreciate your patience, support and cooperation to make this meeting successful.

*** THIS INFORMATION WILL BE UPDATED IF ANY CHANGES ARE NECESSARY***

Best Regards,

Scott D. Koenig, P.E., ICMA-CM
