REMINDER:

NOTICE TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS

The Commissioners of the Town of Dewey Beach, Sussex County, Delaware met on January 8, 2021 and amended Chapter 93 of the Municipal Code of Dewey Beach by Ordinance No. 757.

§ 93-1 Building permits and requests; limousines business licenses.

1. Building permits: 3% of the total construction cost for all required permits, with a $50 minimum permit fee.

2. Fifty cents per square foot of sign area, but not less than $50 per sign.

3. Building permit application fee beginning March 1, 2021:

For projects having a total construction cost of $15,000 or more: $150.00;

any project less than $15,000: $0.00.

Property Owners please be aware item number C, is not a new fee. The Building Permit Application Fee was enacted by Ordinance 460 on 12/15/01 and then revised on 01/08/05 by Ordinance 527.

The newly amended Building Permit Application Fee is to be enforced effective March 1, 2021. This is a non-refundable fee and if required must be submitted along with the Building Permit Application. Please inform your contractors of this Building Permit Application Fee if they are submitting a Building Permit Application on your behalf.
